Vincent Coomans

About

Vincent Coomans is a musician living and working in Belgium. Mourning is a central theme in his music. In 2020, he published his instinctively written and recorded bedroom EP Can't You See That I Slowly Distance Myself From You. With some tracks, such as "One Way Love", he achieved some editorials on Spotify (Made in Belgium and Rustig & Mooi).

In 2023, his first album The Great Rebuild was released by Illuminine Records. His music was picked up by the iconic radio program Duyster and Culture Club (Radio 1) and received attention from music blogs Damusic, Luminous Dash, Dansende beren, Beehyve and magazine Focus Knack.

In the same year, he became artist in residence at Muziekcentrum Dranouter, which allowed him to perform at Festival Dranouter. Together with Illuminine, he released "Catch The Night in Marble". The song ended up in the list of best songs of 2023 according to Duyster.

In 2026, Vincent will release his new album Dark Dog to the world. It is a very intimate record, which was written during a time when Vincent himself became a father and at the same time experienced how his father was slowly beginning to lose everything he had acquired in his life. During the writing process at home, he noticed how his daughter was just discovering and acquiring many of these skills.

The album will be released through Wellington Records.
